The Legacy Project, Inc. Announces Expanded Board of Directors
TLP is excited to announce six new Boardof Directors members to support The Legacy Project’s national growth and impact by connecting generations through storytelling.
JUNE 29, 2026 - The Legacy Project, Inc. is proud to announce an expansion to its Board of Directors with accomplished leaders who bring expertise in a wide array of fields, including older adult community administration, aging communications, aging biology, and intergenerational advocacy. The Board members' experience will guide and support The Legacy Project in realizing the organization's key mission of combating social isolation & loneliness, uplifting life stories, and fostering a future where age is no barrier to friendship.
The Board will serve as a fundamental resource to strategically support the organization's expansion and mission to connect generations through our storytelling program.
The Legacy Project’s full Board of Directors now includes:
John Beilenson is President of SCP, a socially responsible communications and public relations firm he founded in 1987, serving nonprofit organizations, foundations, and public institutions throughout the United States. He is a certified ReFraming Aging facilitator, serves on the ReFraming Aging national advisory committee, and has delivered more than 150 communications presentations, workshops, and training around the country.
Alice Davison spent over three decades at Capital Group, where she built and led a global talent function focused on recruiting and developing exceptional analysts and investors. Her current work focuses on the role of social connection at the retirement transition and the critical influence of intermediaries such as employers, financial advisors, and insurers in supporting it.
Heather Freemont has dedicated more than 30 years to serving older adults, with a career grounded in a deep respect for the aging experience and a commitment to ensuring older adults are seen, heard, and supported in living meaningful lives. She is the Founder of Catalyst Collective Advisory, where she partners with senior living operators and organizations serving the industry, providing strategic guidance and hands-on leadership across sales, marketing, and operations.
Katie Furey, is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of The Legacy Project. As an immigration law paralegal and Fulbright Spain alumna, she believes in the power of intergenerational and intercultural exchange, particularly through conversation and writing, to create positive societal change.
Arielle Galinsky is the CEO and Co-Founder of The Legacy Project, overseeing the organization’s expansive chapter network and operations. A JD/MPP Candidate at Yale Law School and Harvard Kennedy School, and a 2025 Eisner Prize Fellow, Arielle is a passionate advocate and thought leader for intergenerational engagement.
Mitch McVey is a Professor of Biology at Tufts University who leads a research team investigating mechanisms of DNA repair and their relationship to cancer and aging. He also teaches courses in Molecular Biology and the Biology of Aging and is passionate about involving students at all levels in authentic scientific research.
Jennifer "JMo" Moore is a seasoned technical leader with more than 25 years of experience driving operational excellence and strategic growth within the biotechnology sector. During her career at Genentech, she has held pivotal leadership roles spanning clinical manufacturing, network strategy, and global therapeutics, and is known for fostering trust and ownership across diverse global networks.
Gabriel S. Oberfield, is a member (partner) at Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, whose career spans law, government, and public service. He brings extensive experience in governance, public policy, and organizational leadership. Gabriel co-leads the healthcare as well as the government and regulatory affairs practices at Bond, Schoeneck, & King, PLLC.
Wanda L. Schlumpf is the Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of The Legacy Project. She is also a doctoral researcher in Vanderbilt University's biological sciences department, where she investigates DNA repair pathway choice and genome instability with implications for human disease.
TLP seeks to build sustainable, intergenerational connections as a means to promote social connectedness, uplift the stories of older and younger adults, and revolutionize perspectives on aging.
