Jacqui Fishman

Jacqui is the owner of Start A Buzz! Marketing, a creative consulting firm focused on supporting small start-ups and not-for-profits in education and children’s media. She is a storyteller, helping clients bring their vision and dreams to reality and grow their brand, their funding and their mission. Jacqui is also an Emmy-nominated children’s media creator. She was the co-founder of BCP Imagines, a multi-media creator bringing children and their families shared experiences designed to encourage creative learning, expression, and play while helping kids of ALL ages open their imagination and look at their world in a new way. She is the co-creator of Drawing with Mark, a family series celebrating the joy of learning to draw, and The Magical Attic, a pre-school brand designed to foster creative play and imagination, and learn the important lessons of friendship and kindness.. She is the Founder of This Girl Can! Change the World, a mission-driven brand designed to support all girls to believe in their own power to realize their dreams. In 2020, she launched This Girl Can! Vote to encourage all girls to know women’s history and use their voices in civic engagement.

Jacqui is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Partakers, a nonprofit creating powerful mentor relationships for incarcerated students and returning citizens. Jacqui also serves on the Board of Directors of The Philanthropy Connection and is on the Advisory Board of the Family Health Project and Write the World. Formerly Jacqui was the Creative Director /Director of Marketing for Housman Institute, building their brand and mission to place emotional, cognitive, and social early learning at the heart of the everyday early learning experience. Jacqui’s specialties and passions include- literacy and book access, media and news literacy, arts education, early childhood education, girls' empowerment, the power of play, climate literacy, family and intergenerational engagement and outreach, civics education, and educational access and equity.

Jacqui is a graduate of Wellesley College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is a Boston area native who can be found in her gardens, roaming a bookstore or museum, curled up with a book or a classic movie, and knitting.
